November 10th

This month we want to make sure that our preschoolers know that God is doing big things, so they can too! This week they see this when they learn about how Nehemiah gave food to people who were hungry. Having a giving heart is one way we can learn to be like Jesus!

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, talk about things we can do to give to others. Remind your child that at Life Church we are collecting coins to buy chickens for families in Bolivia who don’t have food.

ELEMENTARY

God is doing big things, so I can be bold by giving!

Bible Story: Nehemiah 5,8  (Nehemiah reminds the Israelites to take care of the poor.) 

Main Point: God is doing big things, so I can be bold by giving! 

Key Verse: “With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.”-  Ephesians  3:20 (ICB) 

Lead their Growth: Ask, “Why do you think God wants us to give to others?” Talk more with your child about how they can give to God this week. Could they give some of their allowance at our Giving Spinner at LCKids? Could they go through their toys or clothes and pick some to give to a local non-profit thrift shop? Could they make a treat or craft to give to someone else to show them God’s love? Our Kids’ Offering Giving Spinner will continue to be available for kids who feel led to give coins or cash toward what God is doing through our church.
