This month preschoolers are learning that a joyful heart is good medicine. This week they see this when they learn about Habakkuk. Habakkuk had joy even when his crops didn’t grow and he didn’t have any animals. He shows us that God will give us joy even when things don’t go our way. We can have joy no matter what.

Lead Their Growth: Line toys up along the edge of the tub. Each time you take one away, say: “I can have joy when I don’t have… (name of toy you take away).” Keep doing this until all of the toys are gone. Repeat. As you dry your child off, say: “We can have joy when we have things and when we don’t have things. We can have joy no matter what!”

June W5: God’s sheep know His voice! 

Bible Story:  John 10: 27 (Jesus says His sheep know his voice) 

Main Point: God’s sheep know his voice! 

Monthly Verse: “Don’t worry about anything.  No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him.”- Phil. 4:6 NIRV

Key Question: Ask, “What does it mean to be Jesus’ sheep?” Talk about how we can be Jesus’ sheep when we follow Him! Consider playing a game where you take turns being blindfolded and having one person lead the other throughout your house just through the sound of your voice!
