This month preschoolers are learning that a joyful heart is good medicine. This week they see this when they learn about Ezra and the rebuilding of the temple. Rebuilding the temple was hard work and the people celebrated when they were done. This teaches us that we can celebrate when we do hard things.

Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “Good morning, [child’s name]! We have some hard things to do today, like (cleaning, getting dressed, etc.), but we can have joy because God loves us!”

June W3: You can hear God’s voice! 

Bible Story:  1 Samuel 3 (God calls to Samuel when he was just a boy), and Isaiah 30:21 (Wherever you go, you can hear God’s voice.)  

Main Point: You can hear God’s voice!

Monthly Verse: “Don’t worry about anything.  No matter what happens, tell God about everything. Ask and pray, and give thanks to him.”- Phil. 4:6 NIRV

Key Question: Ask, “What are some ways we can hear God’s voice?” Remind your child that they can hear God through what God made, through the Bible, through other people who love God, and more!
