This month, we are going to discover how to love others like Jesus. No matter how young or old you are, we all need Jesus to show us how to love others. This week preschoolers will see this when they learn about how Jesus helped those in need. He fed five thousand people with a little boy’s lunch of just two fish and five loaves of bread. Jesus showed us that He can use what we have to help others

Lead Their Growth: Add two colors of pom-poms and two bowls to bath time. Pretend one color is fish and the other is bread. Tell your child to put the fish in one bowl and the bread in the other. Talk about how Jesus helped the people by giving them fish and bread to eat.

Bible Story:  Philippians 2 (In his letter to the Philippians, Paul teaches that humility is a key component of being rooted in Jesus. As members of God’s family, we are called to be humble like Jesus.)

Key Verse:  Jesus replied, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind.’ This is the first and most important commandment.” —Matthew 22:37–38

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How can you be humble like Jesus?” Challenge each person in your family to think of one way they’ll serve someone else this week.
