December 15th

This month we want to make sure that our preschoolers know that God showed the
world how much He loves us by giving us Jesus! This week they see this when they
learn about how the shepherds run to see Jesus and then run to tell everyone about
Jesus.

Lead Their Growth: Add pom-poms to bath time. Tell your child to pretend they are the
shepherd and the pom-poms are sheep. As your child plays, talk about how God sent
an angel to tell shepherds that His Son, Jesus, had been born.

ELEMENTARY

December 15th 

God invites people to meet Jesus!

Bible Story: Luke 2 (Jesus—the everlasting King—is born in Bethlehem! An angel announces His birth to nearby shepherds, who hurry to meet the baby and then tell everyone about the child.)

Main Point: God invites people to meet Jesus! 

Key Verse: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”—Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Lead their Growth: Ask, “Who do you want to invite to meet Jesus?” and pray as a family about who you can invite to attend a Christmas Eve service.
