PRESCHOOL
August 18th
This month we are teaching our preschoolers that God made us wonderful. We’re cooking up a lot of fun to go with this foundational truth. This week they see this when they learn about how God knows everything about you and me. God knows us because God made us, God loves us, and because we are important to God.
Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, help [child’s name] and me remember that we are important to You, not because of the things we do, but because You made us and love us. Help us treat other people as important to You too.”
ELEMENTARY
August 18th
This month elementary students are learning about creativity, which is using your imagination to do something new. This week, we learned about how Joseph was part of God’s plan to save Egypt (Genesis 40-41). The main point was, “You can use what God gave you to solve problems.”
Monthly Verse: “We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10, NIrV
Lead Their Growth: Ask, “How can we use what God gave us to solve problems?”
