April 13th

This month, we are talking to our preschoolers about days that are happy because Jesus is alive.  This week they see this when they learn about how lots of people came to celebrate Jesus riding into town on a donkey because of all of the wonderful things He had done. They were so happy to see Jesus!

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “Dear God, we are so glad we can talk to You. Thank You for making a way for us to be with You forever. Help us celebrate Jesus every day by loving others the way Jesus loves us.”

ELEMENTARY

April 13th

Jesus loves us and gave his life for us!

Bible Story: John 12, 13,19  (After God’s people waited many years for Him to rescue them from sin, Jesus shows God’s great love by dying on the cross. His death brings life.)

Main Point: Jesus loves us and gave his life for us!

Key Verse:  “I will spend time thinking about everything you have done. I will consider all your mighty acts.” —Psalm 77:12

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How does Jesus show His love for us?” Consider gathering some craft materials and making small crosses to hang in your home, remembering how Jesus gave his life for us.
