April 6th

This month, we are talking to our preschoolers about days that are happy because Jesus is alive.  This week they see this when they learn about Mary. Mary wanted to show Jesus how special He was to her by pouring very expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet. She showed how thankful she was that Jesus is alive.

Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “Good morning, [child’s name]! Today is a happy day! Do you know why it’s a happy day? Because God loves us so much God gave us Jesus!”

April 6th

God rescues His people!

Bible Story: Exodus 13-15 (After His people spend 400 years in slavery, God steps in with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, rescuing them and providing a way through the Red Sea. After this rescue, God’s people praise Him!)

Main Point: God rescues His people!

Key Verse:  “I will spend time thinking about everything you have done. I will consider all your mighty acts.” —Psalm 77:12

Lead their Growth: Ask, “What are some ways God has rescued you?” Consider reading the song of praise the Israelites sang after God rescued them from Egypt in Exodus 15, and writing or drawing some things your family can praise God for. You can even make them into a song!
