This month, we get to tell preschoolers that Jesus loves them. Jesus loves their family. Jesus loves their friends. Jesus loves everyone! This week they see this when they learn about how Jesus chose Philip and then Philip told his friend Nathanael about Jesus. We can tell our friends about Jesus because Jesus loves everyone.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, take turns inserting a friend’s name in this sentence: “Jesus loves [friend’s name]!” When you’re done, talk about how we can tell our friends that Jesus loves them.

ELEMENTARY

February 16th 

Jesus invites us to abide in him!

Bible Story: John 15 (Jesus uses the metaphor of a vine and branches to teach His disciples how important it is to stay connected to God. Jesus is the vine, we are the branches, and Jesus invites us to abide in Him.)

Main Point: Jesus invites us to abide in him!

Key Verse:  “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.” —John 8:12

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How can you stay connected to Jesus?” Consider going on a nature walk and point out how different plants have to be connected to their branches to survive, just like how we need to be connected to Jesus.
