PRESCHOOL
January 19th
This month, we are teaching our preschoolers about the best friend—the One who is always a good friend. This week they see this when they learn about Mary and Martha and how they were sad because of their brother. Jesus was sad with them and comforted them. Jesus is such a good friend when we are sad because He is sad with us.
Lead Their Growth: While on the go, talk about things that make you feel sad. Maybe being sick or missing a family member makes you sad. Then talk about how Jesus was a good friend to Mary and Martha when they were sad. Jesus went to visit them and was sad with them.

Jesus was tempted and never sinned!
Bible Story: Matthew 4 and Hebrews 4 (Satan tempted Jesus in the desert, and Jesus resisted temptation.)
Main Point: Jesus was tempted and never sinned!
Key Verse: “The Son is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. The Son is first, and he is over all creation.” —Colossians 1:15
Key Question: Ask, “What can we do when we’re tempted?” Remind your kids that when we’re tempted to believe lies or do things we shouldn’t, we can remember God’s truth! Consider making a collage or writing with dry erase on your mirrors truth about who God says we are. Check out this link for some verses and inspiration God’s Truth 119.pdf
