September  15th

This month, we’re talking to the preschoolers about how Jesus is the light that God sent into the world to shine bright for all the world to see. This week they see this when Jesus gives a new command to His followers to love one another the way Jesus loved them. Jesus showed them by loving the woman at the well, the little children and Zacchaeus the tax collector.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, please help us love others the way Jesus loves us, just like Jesus said for us to do.”

ELEMENTARY

September W3: God’s good plans cannot be stopped! 

Bible Story:  Numbers 22-23 (An enemy king wants a prophet named Balaam to curse God’s people, Israel. But God gets Balaam’s attention through a talking donkey and reminds him through an angel not to curse Israel, for God’s good plans cannot be stopped.)

Main Point: God’s good plans cannot be stopped! 

Key Verse: “God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us.” —Ephesians 3:20

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How does it make you feel to know that God’s good plans cannot be stopped?” Consider checking out some of these verses together and talking, writing, or drawing about what they tell you about God’s plans: Psalm 33:11, Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28, and Proverbs 19:21.
