September  8th

This month, we’re talking to the preschoolers about how Jesus is the light that God sent into the world to shine bright for all the world to see. This week they see this when Jesus heals a man who couldn’t walk because Jesus loved him. 

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, look for people. How many people can you count? Talk about how Jesus is a light for everyone. Jesus wants all people to see that God loves them and how they can love one another.

ELEMENTARY

September W2: God cares about our needs!

Bible Story:  Exodus 17 (God has faithfully rescued His people, but they’re now thirsty and complaining in the desert. God responds with kindness, providing water for them from a rock because He cares about our needs.)

Main Point: God cares about our needs!

Key Verse: “God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us.” —Ephesians 3:20

Lead their Growth: Ask, “Why does God care about our needs?” Remind your child that God cares about their needs because God loves them so much! Be intentional about stopping when you take a drink of water, or eat a meal, or go to sleep at night and take as many opportunities as you can this week to exclaim, “Isn’t it amazing that God knows that we need (fill in the blank!) I’m so grateful that God cares about our needs.”
