This month preschoolers are learning that we know God loves us because He gave us Jesus. This week they see this when they learn about how Mary and Joseph traveled all the way to Bethlehem to have Jesus. Jesus was born in a manger while the angels celebrated!

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, take turns making animal sounds and guessing the animal. Talk about how there were no rooms for Mary and Joseph when they got to Bethlehem so they had to stay in a stable where animals lived. And that stable was where baby Jesus was born!

Bible Story: 1 Samuel 16, Isaiah 11    

Main Point: God sees beyond what we see! 

Monthly Verse: The Lord Himself will give you a sign. The virgin is going to have a baby. She will give birth to a Son. And he will be called Immanuel.” -Isaiah 7:14 (NIrV) 

Lead their Growth: Ask your child, “Why is it good news that God sees beyond what we see?” Consider reading Isaiah 11:1-10 and circling or highlighting the good things that are being promised about Jesus, the root of Jesse.
