This month, we’re talking to the preschoolers about how Jesus is the light that God sent into the world to shine bright for all the world to see. This week they see this when they learn about how Tabitha loved like Jesus by helping others in their time of need.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, point out places and talk with your child about how you can help others in those places. For example, in a fast food restaurant, you can smile, get napkins, and clean up after yourself.

September W5: God can provide in unexpected ways!

Bible Story:  1 Kings 17 (When the prophet Elijah is in hiding from King Ahab, God demonstrates that He is the one true God by providing for Elijah’s needs in unexpected ways.)

Main Point: God can provide in unexpected ways!

Key Verse: “God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He does everything by his power that is working in us.” -Ephesians 3:20

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How has God provided for us?” Consider keeping a jar or a running list and continually adding examples of how God provides for your family.
