PRESCHOOL

August 17th

This month, we want our preschoolers to know that this beautiful world they live in was created by our loving, creative, and powerful God. This week the preschoolers will see this when they learn about how God created the sun, moon and stars on the fourth day, and it was good.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, we have been talking about how You made space and all of the planets and the sun, moon, and stars. It makes us go WOW! You are SO big and SO amazing and SO powerful, God! There is no one else like You!”

Because Jesus Loves Me, I Am Loved

Bible Story: Colossians 1, John 3  (Though sin damaged God’s good creation and separated people from God, God loved the world so much that He sent His Son, Jesus. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, followers of Jesus can live securely in God’s love.)

Main Point: Because Jesus (touch your pointer finger to the palms of your hands), loves me (hands over heart), I am loved! (Give yourself a big hug)!

Key Verse: “You are majestic and holy. (bow forward) Your glory fills me with wonder. (point to your mind and bring your hands out–like the mind blown sign) You do amazing things.”(spin around with your arms out) —Exodus 15:11b

Lead their Growth: Ask, “When do you especially want to remember that Jesus loves you?” If your child was in LCKids, they made a mirror cling they can put on their mirror at home to remind themselves that Jesus loves them! You can also use dry erase markers to decorate your mirrors with words and pictures that represent God’s love.
