PRESCHOOL

August 31st

This month, we want our preschoolers to know that this beautiful world they live in was created by our loving, creative, and powerful God. This week the preschoolers will see this when they learn about how God created the land animals of every kind and then made mankind in His image and breathed life into them on the sixth day, and it was very good. On the seventh day God rested.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, You made everything. That’s A LOT! But even though You made everything, You still care about [name of child] and me like we are the only thing You ever made. You love us that much!”

ELEMENTARY

August 31st, 2025

Because of Jesus, I am a child of God!

Bible Story: Galatians 3  (Paul writes a letter to the Galatians explaining that it is simply through faith in Jesus that we become God’s children.)

Main Point: Because of Jesus (Point your index fingers to your opposite palms, like your touching the holes in Jesus’ hands), I am (Point to yourself), a child (Hold your hands out like you’re rocking a baby) of God! (Point up.)

Key Verse: “You are majestic and holy. (bow forward) Your glory fills me with wonder. (point to your mind and bring your hands out–like the mind blown sign) You do amazing things.”(spin around with your arms out) —Exodus 15:11b

Lead their Growth: Ask, “What are some of the good things about being a child of God?” As you do things for your child this week, ask them how God does those things for us (for example, How does God talk with us? How does God feed us? etc.).
