PRESCHOOL
August 24th
This month, we want our preschoolers to know that this beautiful world they live in was created by our loving, creative, and powerful God. This week the preschoolers will see this when they learn about how God created all of the creatures of the sea and all of the birds of the air on the fifth day, and it was good.
Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, thank You for making the [child’s favorite sea animal]. It is [name of child]’s favorite! Mine is the [favorite sea animal]. I think it is so cool because [say why]. You are so creative, God! Only You can make everything!”

Because the Holy Spirit leads me, I am led!
Bible Story: John 14 (While preparing to be with God the Father in heaven, Jesus promises His followers that God would send them the Holy Spirit—God’s very presence—to lead them always.)
Main Point: Because (Point both thumbs toward your chest like you’re saying “me”) the Holy Spirit (Wiggle fingers upward like a breeze or fluttering dove to represent the Spirit moving), leads me (Hold one hand out like you’re holding someone’s hand, and gently pull it forward as if leading someone), I am led! (Place both hands over your heart and nod your head slowly like you trust and are following)
Key Verse: “You are majestic and holy. (bow forward) Your glory fills me with wonder. (point to your mind and bring your hands out–like the mind blown sign) You do amazing things.”(spin around with your arms out) —Exodus 15:11b
Lead their Growth: Ask, “Have you ever felt the Holy Spirit guiding you to say something or do something? What happened?” Read Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Remind kids that sometimes the Holy Spirit’s leading might look like a desire to do something good, or feelings of love, joy, etc. God is probably speaking to them more than they know!
