June 29th 

This month, we are going to discover how to love others like Jesus. No matter how young or old you are, we all need Jesus to show us how to love others. This week preschoolers will see this when they learn about Peter and Cornelius. God spoke to both of them and arranged for them to meet. Cornelius needed to hear the good news about Jesus and Peter needed to be shown that Jesus loves everyone.

Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “Good morning, [child’s name]! Are you ready to be a friend to everyone today? You can share, say kind words, and help others. These are great ways to be a friend, and being a friend
is one way Jesus shows us how to love others!”

Bible Story:  James 3 (A follower of Jesus named James writes a letter to other believers, teaching them about the power of our words and the importance of speaking with wisdom.)

Main Point: God’s Wisdom Helps Us Live at Peace with Others

Key Verse:  Jesus replied, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind.’ This is the first and most important commandment.” —Matthew 22:37–38

Lead their Growth: Ask,  “What does it mean to speak with wisdom?” In your prayers this week, consider asking God to show your family someone to encourage.
