February 2nd

This month, we get to tell preschoolers that Jesus loves them. Jesus loves their family. Jesus loves their friends. Jesus loves everyone! This week they see this when they learn about how Jesus chose His first disciples. Jesus didn’t go to the powerful leaders. He chose lowly fishermen because Jesus loves everyone.

Lead Their Growth: When you go into your child’s room, cuddle them and say: “Good morning, [child’s name]! Are you ready to follow me to the kitchen for breakfast? And we can follow Jesus by loving everyone the way Jesus loves everyone.”

Jesus gives us life!

Bible Story: John 6 (After feeding a large crowd with five loaves and two fish, Jesus tells the people that He is the bread of life, promising eternal life to all who trust in Him.)

Main Point: Jesus gives us life!

Key Verse:  “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.” —John 8:12

Lead their Growth: Ask, “How does Jesus give us life?” Consider making fish and bread for dinner this week and reading John 6 as a family.
