January 7th

This month preschoolers are learning that Jesus teaches me important things. This week they see this when they learn about how Jesus teaches a crowd. What Jesus was teaching was so important that thousands of people walked from everywhere just to hear Him teach.

Lead Their Growth: While on the go, talk about the different teachers you both have had for school, church, sports, art, etc. Talk about how Jesus is an amazing teacher who came to teach us important things about God and how to love one another.

Bible Story: Matthew 5- Sermon on the Mount 

Main Point: Jesus’ way is different! 

Monthly Verse: ​​Blessed are those whose hearts are pure. They will see God. —Matthew 5:8 (NIrV)

Lead their growth:  Consider reading Matthew 5 verses 1-12 as a family. Remind your kids that we can be “blessed” even when things are hard, because Jesus made a way for us to be close to God. Ask your kids if there is anything hard they are experiencing, then pray about those things together and thank God that we can have hope even in those situations.
