PRESCHOOL

During our Uncharted adventure preschoolers are learning that we can give what we love to God because we trust Him. This week they see this when they learn about Abraham and Sarah. God blessed them with a child, and they learned to trust Him even when it is hard to believe.

Lead Their Growth: Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, help me to trust you even when it is hard for me to believe you are working.”

ELEMENTARY

Bible Story: God calls Abraham and Sarah and Abraham and Sarah trust that God will give them a child! (Gen. 15:1-21, Gen. 17:5)
Main Point: Trust God no matter what!
Monthly Verse: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)
Key Question: What does it mean to trust God?
Family Activity: Trust Time Capsule
Supplies: small container, paper, writing utensils/decorating materials

  1. Decorate your family capsule.
  2. Have each family member share a time when they trusted God and write (or draw for younger kids) that story on a piece of paper and place those in the container.
  3. Then write something you are trusting God for the future and place those papers in the time capsule.
  4. Decide when you are going to revisit the time capsule and place it somewhere special in your home to come back to.
