PRESCHOOL
October 12th
This month, we want our preschoolers to know that the powerful God who is always with us and can help us be brave. Even the most fearful of us can be strong and courageous with God! This week the preschoolers will see this when they learn about how David was brave because he knew that God is bigger than anything, even a giant named Goliath. God gave David the strength to be brave and defeat Goliath.
Lead Their Growth: Add bubbles to bath time. Drop tin foil balls in the water. Tell your child to pretend the balls are stones and find them. Talk about how David was brave because he knew God was with him. He looked for some smooth stones, took his sling, and he won against the tall Goliath with just one stone!

God is powerful!
Bible Story: Exodus 6-12 (God sends Moses to ask Pharaoh to let His people leave Egypt, where they are slaves. Pharaoh refuses repeatedly, and each time God shows His power by sending a plague until Pharaoh finally lets them go.)
Main Point: God (point up) is powerful! (flex your arms)
Key Verse: “LORD and King,” (Place your hands on your head like a crown) you have reached out (Reach out your arm) your great and powerful arm. (Flex your arm) You have made the heavens (Sweep your arms up and overhead in a circle) and the earth.(Sweep your arms down and in a circle.) Nothing is too hard (Shake your head no and cross your arms in an ‘X’) for you. (Point up.) —Jeremiah 32:17
Lead their Growth: Ask, “How have you seen God’s power in your life?” Consider making a “Power Collage” with words and images that represent ways we see God’s power. You can even grab leaves, pebbles, or other items from nature that show God’s power in creation!
